Directions--(How to Get to The Lighthouse)

From Dallas-Fort Worth and from Waco: From Dallas-Fort Worth, [see Waco map below this paragraph], continue on I-35 south past Baylor, through Waco past New Road. Exit right at Exit 330 as you pass the Flying J truckstop. Take the MERIDIAN option as you are approaching Best Buy, one of the occupants of the new Central Texas Market Place shopping center on your right, which you will curve around. You can then merge onto Hwy 6 north/Loop 340 from the left lane and go a couple of miles to Hwy 84. The exit is at the Whataburger hamburgers sign; Richland Mall is also accessed here. But you want to go WEST on Hwy 84 (past Woodway). From Hwy 6/Loop 340 it is 14 miles to McGregor. The McGregor Executive Airport will be approximately half way. (McGregor's city limits begin at Bosque Lane, but Hwy 317 (McGregor's main street,) is about 7 miles from the airport.) GREATER WACO MAP: There are three traffic lights in McGregor [see map of McGregor below this paragraph.]. The first is at the intersection of Hwy 84 and Hwy 317. There is a Phillips 66/Burger King business on the right at this intersection. Turn left onto Hwy 317 (McGregor's Main Street). Pass through the second light (at 3rd Street) and turn right at the third light onto W. 6th Street. Go one-half mile, past Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, and Van Buren Streets. Slow down for a dip in the street, and immediately turn right onto S. Harrison Street. The Lighthouse is one block on your left just past the intersection of W. 5th and S. Harrison Streets. From Brownwood or Gatesville: From Brownwood or Gatesville, proceed east on Hwy 84. As you come into McGregor, and just past the Dairy Queen and Brookshire Brothers supermarket, turn right on N. Johnson Dr. Go a little more than 1/2 mile, past the Catholic Church on your left, and then W. 3rd, W. 3A, and W4th Streets. Turn left on W. 5th St, crossing Lincoln, Pierce, Taylor and Tyler Streets. Turn left on S. Harrison St. The Lighthouse B&B at 421 S. Harrison is immediately on your left.  Although the map above is marked to show the approach from Waco, on the left side it also shows N. Johnson Dr. as the first street on the right (coming from the west on Hwy. 84) and the short arrow points to our location. From Austin and from Belton: From Austin, take I-35 north to Belton [see map of Belton below this paragraph]. Off I-35N take Exit 293 [go under the interstate], then immediately right onto Hwy 317-N, going past the court house, continuing through Moody [WARNING: Be sure to watch your speed through Moody.] At McGregor [see map above], Hwy 317 becomes Main Street in McGregor. Turn left at the first traffic light onto W. 6th Street. Go one-half mile, past Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, and Van Buren Streets. Slow down for a dip in the street, and immediately turn right onto S. Harrison St. The Lighthouse is one block on your left just past the intersection of W. 5th and S. Harrison Streets.

(Hwy 36 from Brenham) and from Temple:

Coming from Houston [see the map of Temple below], proceed on Hwy 36 W. past Scott & White Hospital, crossing over I-35 until you come to Airport Rd., shown below just beyond W. Adams Ave., turning left at this traffic signal, and going past the Temple Airport. Turn right on Hwy 317 and go north through Moody [WARNING: watch your speed here] to McGregor [see "McGregor Map" above].  Turn left at the first traffic light onto W. 6th Street. Go one-half mile, past Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, and Van Buren Streets. Turn right onto S. Harrison Street. The Lighthouse is one block on your left just past the intersection of W. 5th and S. Harrison Streets.

Second of Two Choices from Houston

(Hwy 6 from Bryan/College Station) and from Marlin:

Coming from Houston [see the map below], proceed on Hwy 6 through Hearne to Marlin, taking Business 6 on the south outskirts of Marlin. Turn left on Hwy 7 to Chilton and Eddy.  Hwy 7 becomes Hwy. 107 to Moody.  Turn north on Hwy. 317 at Moody [WARNING: watch your speed here] to McGregor [see "McGregor Map" above].  Hwy 317 becomes Main Street in McGregor. Turn left at the first traffic light onto W. 6th Street. Go one-half mile, past Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, and Van Buren Streets. Slow down for a dip in the street, and immediately turn right onto S. Harrison St. The Lighthouse is one block on your left just past the intersection of W. 5th and S. Harrison Streets.
