The Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast

Library Suite--Books and a Big Bath

Library bp Library Suite This bedroom is near the front door on the first floor. The  150-year-old museum quality half-tester bed is the focus of this bedroom. Another feature of notice, particularly in cooler weather, are the coal-burning fireplaces --one in the bedroom and the other in the large bathroom. These fireplaces have been converted to gas logs but are a real romantic touch in the winter. Cable TV and VCR is available in this room, as in all our rooms.

Of all our B&B guestrooms, this is the only one that does not have at least a queen bed.  But we gave up a king bed in this room just so we could make room for this very special bed.  The bathroom, pictured below, is just about the same size as the bedroom and the old clawfoot tub has a hand-held shower.  For all the years, this has been one of our most popular rooms.

Before we became a B&B, this was our library.  Since a large part of our library remains housed in this room, we named it the Library Suite.  We are going to try to present some pictures, but to see what it's really like, you'll just have to come and experience it all for yourself.

Several lawyers bookcases are filled
with enjoyable reading.
Between the bookcases is the 1850s bed.
Library 5
The door into the Library Suite, which is a
twin to the one that opens into the Parlor.
These doors feature stained glass.

Library 9

The adjoining dressing/bath area has an
old oak washstand from Jan's dad's family.

       Library 6
The fireplace in the bedroom, with the mantle and
one of the numerous wreaths throughout the house,
most of them done by Jan's twin sister Ann.
             Library 8

Claw-foot tub with hand-held shower sits in the center of the room.

Library 4

There is a ceiling fan in every bedroom.

Library 7
The 1850s bed came from the William Cameron

family estate

On one side of the tub is a fireplace; on the

other is a spacious vanity with two sinks and
