This is a first floor room
with a private entrance. The queen bed in the Porch Room is an old iron bed that
has been in our family for a number of years. The
room has a garden room atmosphere, with the bathroom
taking on the appearance of a garden shed (with a
shabby chic door and many decorative elements
relative to gardening, along with whimsical type
accessories such as bunnies, butterflies, birds and
such. Jan has made great use of her decorating gifts
with the creation of this room.
This room, with its tub/shower
bath, was created out of the front room which had originally
been part of the old front porch of the house. The
front door is actually level with the sidewalk.
There is a short step up into the bathroom, with its
combination tub/shower, but there are three steps up
into the main part of the house.
Guests can park their car very near the front door
as there is an old driveway, pretty much grass
covered now, that leads to the
porte-cochère
or carport. |
