The Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast

| Double occupancy means one or two people in
the same bed (using a second bed is $25
extra). The total taxes are 12% (6% state, 6%
city). |
Certain discounts apply most of the time; please inquire.
| We have some discounts that are applicable all the time and others on special occasions. Some discounts we offer are Seniors over 60 discounts, Repeat Stays discounts, Referrals discounts, Pastors and other church staff discounts, Full House and other group discounts, Church Retreat discounts, Corporate and Government discounts, etc. There may be certain "high demand" dates when no discounts are available. |
Extra person charge over double occupancy--$25
| (requires special arrangements: please inquire). In general, this means that there is a $25 charge for each extra bed used. But for some rooms, this means bringing in a roll-away or using some of our "overflow hall beds." |
Rates include breakfast for all guests.

There is no charge for breakfast; it is part of
the room rate. If you have special dietary needs
or requests, please make those in advance of
your arrival so we can make necessary
preparation. |
Notice: CALL US if your reservation involves children.
| We have only a limited amount of space for
children, so reservations
requiring rooms for children should be made
early. Sometimes we are able to accept children.
But there may be times when we will not have a
place for younger children who might cry and
disturb other guests. If you show up without
telling us there are children in your group, we
may not be able to accommodate you. So please
call us about this! |
We are a smoke-free, alcohol-free and pet-free facility.
| Insurance is hard to come by for old homes
like these. We want to maintain our rating.
Violators of these particular policies will be
charged a minimum $50.00 clean-up fee and a
$100.00 per pet charge per day is levied on
pets. |

| Among the buttons at the top of every page
on our website you will find on the bottom row
of buttons one that reads:

Check Room Availability
]. You will be asked to enter
the date you want to arrive and the number of
nights you wish to stay. All the rooms that are
available for those nights will appear on a
chart, showing the room name, a picture, a brief
description, and the rate. You will need a
credit card in order to process the reservation
online. This is the quickest and safest way to find and book a room online. It is as close to "real time" as we can get. If you book space here, you will have the highest chance of getting your reservation confirmed. You will see that it is a secure site so the reservation can be processed with your credit card if you so desire. This does not guarantee space, because someone may have called us while we were away from the office (calls are forwarded to our cell phone when we leave) and we can't plug those phone reservations in until we get back. Also, the space you are requesting may be part of a temporary hold for a person or group getting necessary information together for us. These are "Pending Reservations," but rooms booked here on the internet are taken out of the inventory and no one else can book "those" rooms. As soon as we can we convert Pending Reservations to either Confirmed or Rejected. Either way we will contact you. This is the fastest way to book--there is never a busy signal and it is not dependent on e-mail. So if you want to make a SECURE RESERVATION ONLINE, simply click on [ Check Room Availability ]. |
Reservations: Deposits and guarantees

| You may guarantee payment for the room(s)
and date(s) you reserve with your credit card
number or by sending full payment for the entire
reservation by check or money order. We
accept all major credit cards (Discover, Visa,
MasterCard, American Express, Carte Blance or
Diners Club). If guaranteeing by check,
reservations will be held for ten days until
your check arrives. Once we have your credit
card number, check or money order, written
confirmation (preferably by e-mail) will be sent
guaranteeing that we will hold the room(s) for
the date(s) requested. |
Cancellations: Refunds and policies -- Normal and Groups

Normal: For cancellations, we
require a 14-day notice in advance of the
date reserved, which means you must notify us by 6:00
p.m. on the 14th day prior to your check-in date. There
is a $15.00 cancellation fee for each room cancelled.
This service charge is refunded if you reschedule and
complete your reservation within six months. Groups: a 30-day notice is required, meaning notice must be received by 6:00 p.m. on the 30th day prior to your check-in date. If cancelling LESS than 14 (30 for a group reservation) days before your check-in date, you will be charged the full amount for your reservation. Again, we allow six months to reschedule and use the reservation if you are forced to cancel late. We do not want to appear unsympathetic to your circumstances, but we only have a limited number of rooms and cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control. We must enforce this policy without any exceptions. The same holds true for early departures (there is no refund if you leave before you were scheduled to depart). Please don't reserve dates unless you expect to pay for them. Reserve the number you are sure about and ask for an "option" on extra days. Please note: In the event we are able to re-rent the room(s) you cancelled, you will only be charged the cancellation fee. Reservations made less than 14 (30 for a group reservation) days in advance are not cancellable without paying for the entire reservation, unless we are able to re-rent the space to someone else. Group reservations MAY require payment in full 30 days before arrival, unless an agreed arrangement otherwise has been made in advance. |
Holding Rooms for Group Reservations
| Sometimes those making reservations for
groups do not know for certain how many rooms,
or maybe even how many nights, they will need to
reserve. To avoid cancellation fees, and
permit us to keep the rooms in the internet
inventory, we allow you to Hold Rooms
Tentatively. This means that we
put the as many rooms and nights as you request
on hold, and then when someone else tries to
book one of those rooms or dates, we notify you
and you have to either release that portion of
your Hold or
guarantee it. This requires that
we have a working e-mail address and phone
number to be able to reach you immediately if
someone tries to book space we are holding for
you. |
You choose the check-in time that is best for you, our guests.
| Please notify us of your approximate arrival
time so we can schedule our other activities and
still be present when you arrive.
Check-out (by noon) unless special
arrangements are made in advance. |
