The Lyon House

Another facility is located a couple of doors down from The Lighthouse.  Built in 1920, The Lyon House has been in the same family until now.  We were able to purchase this Prairie Style home from the granddaughter of the man who built it, and some of their furniture is still in the home.  There are six bedrooms in the Lyon House, again each one having a private bath.  The rooms  ON THE FIRST FLOOR are named the Victoriana Room, the Texas Country Room, and the Porch Room; while ON THE SECOND FLOOR the rooms are named Carolyn's Room, the Riviera Room, and the Presidents Room. There is also a seventh room (actually an overflow room that is available to help lower the cost for larger families and retreat groups) that we call the Loft Room, which will actually sleep 5 persons but must be rented with at least one other room in order to have a bath to share.

Originally the front porch, this room was converted years ago into a sidewalk-level room.  There are splashes of orange, green, yellow and pink, baskets and pots of flowers, bunnies and butterflies, bringing back memories of sleeping on Grandma's porch.
